(FROM THE ARCHIVES — October 11, 2020) Pressure to appear a certain way can rob a person of intimacy with God. In this talk we will explore why God isn't calling us to be the one who is asked for but instead to pursue developing a real, sincere life of faith.

(FROM THE ARCHIVES — April 18, 2021) The COVID era will eventually come to an end. As this season is working towards that close, God is calling us to remember and rediscover him. In this talk we are challenged specifically to remember and rediscover how encountering the resurrection power of God can change everything for us and those around us whom we love.  

God took a young shepherd from the pastures and made him, as he says in 2 Samuel 7, "A prince over my people Israel." We may be hoping that our lives could follow the same up and to the right trajectory. But what is God actually saying about our own journeys? Also, I'd love to hear from you. After a long hiatus from preaching, I'm back with a new talk. This sermon is an exploration of how following Jesus is a long ride, not a short one and why that's good news for you. We look at the temptation of Jesus and see how this shows that God is on an extended mission to rescue humanity and because of this He rejects the shortcut. Luke 4:1-13

This talk examines how we address the duplicitousness within ourselves. Specifically, How addressing the sin in our lives will help us with that problem. Romans 7:7-25

It is literally a series about how Jesus, who we believe was actually God incarnate, relates to the people he encounters. This particular talk focuses in on Jesus's conversation with the Pharisee named Nicodemus. John 3:1-17.

This kicks of me preaching for the year and also the series called "Where We Go From Here." I describe the series better in the actual sermon than I could in a few brief sentences here. Nevertheless, we are turning to the first three chapters of 1 Corinthians, in order to go verse by verse through it. We will examine how that relates back to us today and the concept of the series. We start with 1 Corinthians 1:1-9 and the concept of grace.

Advent themed message focusing around Joseph and his dream. Matthew 1:18-24 We explore how God sometimes changes the direction of things as we seek his kingdom coming. 

Advent themed message from 12/11/16. Matthew 11:2-12 A look at John the Baptist and what his story can teach us about waiting for Jesus to return and make all things right.

Part 7 of Rooted Deeper. Galatians 5:1-15 A look at how when we go deeper into Jesus we go deeper into freedom.

This was the 5th part of "Rooted Deeper." Psalm 107:4-9 This is a look at how Jesus satisfies even in the midst of the dessert.

The second part of a series called "Rooted Deeper." In this talk we explore the idea of connecting Jesus as the head to the body. Colossians 1:18-23.

This talk is an exploration of what Paul talks about in 2 Corinthians 6:4-13. We look at pushing past limits and widening our hearts to what God wants to do with us and in other's lives.
